The following 10 picture mistakes will quickly get you voted off the island or find you no success on an online dating site.
Stand out without standing alone and you’ll see your profile activity increase big time.
Don’t Post Pictures of You and an Ex
Come on, guys. This one should be obvious. No pictures of ex-lovers or just any woman in general.
That includes your sister.
Posting a picture with you and another woman — even if in the subtitles you call her little sis — immediately makes a woman click away.
Jealousy, competition or confusion are not emotions you want to evoke when posting your online dating pic.
Avoid Looking Like a Creeper
I realize you may not know you are emitting the “creeper vibe.”
Here are some clues: avoid pictures featuring you with greasy hair, blood shot eyes, a scary mustache, impersonating someone else or wearing sunglasses when you shouldn’t be.
If someone snapped a picture of you on a day you were practicing poor hygiene or looked like someone who could be on America’s Most Wanted, don’t post that picture.

That’s great if you are into Pokemon or you found an avatar that looks “Just. Like. You.”

We all love a great set of abs and some of us (okay, you) think full back or body tattoos are smokin’ hot.
It is totally fine to want to be yourself and broadcast your strengths (or quirks) but save those for later. We need your face to be in the photo.
You don’t need to consult the dating section of the mademan manual to know that a no-face photo tells ladies you are hiding something. To be personable you have to have a face.

I don’t know how many times I’m going to say this.

Ladies love a softy and your pet may be a vital factor in determining if you and she are compatible. But don’t just post pictures of your pet by itself. That’s weird, and again, she needs to see you.
No Costumes, Please
We know you are funny. Especially in costume or when you put on a silly hat and act normal.
But avoid costume photos and stick to regular attire.
Dressing up may make you look immature or like someone who doesn’t have a self identity.
If you want to post a picture with you in other than normal clothes (no bikini-brief shots, please), post photos of you in a sports jersey playing volleyball on the beach. Save the proof of you LARPing for later.
Don’t Post a Picture of Someone Else
This can be tempting, especially if you’ve looked in the mirror recently and haven’t liked what you’ve seen. But don’t post a picture of someone else as your profile picture.
It’s deceitful and if you are looking for love she will see you sooner or later anyway.
Instead, kick it in to gear and exercise or get a new haircut to show the best you.
Half-Naked Pictures Taken in the Mirror are a No-No
What is it about guys taking their shirt off in front of the mirror and snapping a photo?
Don’t do that.
This tells women you are conceited, shallow and possibly looking for only one thing.
It’s okay to be a little cocky and it’s good to be sexual, but have a clean balance.
Delete Drinking Pictures
Uploading a bunch of party pictures may seem like a good idea and make you look popular and fun, but texting your ex when you were drunk seemed like a good idea, too.
Women want to know you can have a good time, but if they were looking for a party they’d just head to a bar.
Instead, show yourself active with your pet, playing a sport or hanging with friends or family in a casual setting.
Focus on posting a good two or three pictures of you relaxed and smiling.
No Obscene Gestures
You may like guns, drinking and have a little road rage, but don’t let your rough and tough side be all you show. Flipping off the camera is essentially flipping off a potential date if you post it online a dating site. Don’t. Just don’t.
